That’s not good for your hair or for your scalp and all the more reason as to why you would want to keep your hair out of the rain unless you are caught in the midst of a torrential downpour. So, always have an umbrella handy, as it can effectively keep your hair dry.

You need to be careful when selecting a shampoo for your hair; choose a deep cleansing and mild shampoo. But remember that as a result of the rain, your hair could be undernourished which is all the more reason that you would want to go for a nourishing shampoo for your locks of hair.  You may also want to use lukewarm water when washing your hair, as that should help cleanse your scalp more deeply. And you may also what to move from root to tip as you wash your hair and gently massage the shampoo in. Make sure that you at least wash your hair and shampoo it, twice a week during the monsoon season.

A good oil massage can work wonders, especially during the monsoon season. And that is why you may want to massage your hair gently with some good, nourishing oil, and leave it on for an hour or two before shampooing it off. The point is that this allows the scalp to absorb the oil, and this should also effectively help your hair and scalp retain its moisture and essential nutrients as well.

It is never a good idea to tie your hair up in a tight knot during the monsoon season. By wearing a tight knot, you are basically enabling the rainwater to literally soak and sit in the midst of that knot for a long period. And as a result, your hair is going to get frizzy and lumpy. This is why you may want to wear your hair down to avoid the frizzy effect.

While an umbrella can provide your hair with adequate protection, you may not be able to head out often with an umbrella in tow. That is why it is a great idea to invest in a hoodie or a nice coat; think of this as a worthwhile investment and for what it’s worth, the coat or hoodie should look good on you.

  • COMB:

It is the rainy season and chances are that no matter how much care you took, your hair is slightly wet or damp. That is why you may want to opt for a wide-tooth comb, as this can help you untangle your hair. You should also know that wet hair is structurally weak, and therefore using a comb with small teeth may well end up pulling out some of the strands.

If you are applying conditioner to your hair, then you need to do it right. You just need to apply the same to the tips of your hair, and to the lengths, and then follow it with a wide-tooth comb and comb it in. This should enable you to spread the conditioner around and soon, your hair should be perfect.

For starters, you would not have to devote so much time to taking care of your hair and instead you can utilize that time for other purposes. And cutting your hair short would allow you to develop a whole new look as well.
