HOMEMADE FACE PACKS
It’s the monsoon season and that is all the more reason that you may want to pay special attention to your skin. Thanks to the high humidity coupled with dampness in the air, you may suddenly develop an oily tone along with acne right across your face. But that is not a reason to fret; the humidity is just sucking the moisture out of your skin and you can try out these few homemade essential facemasks to reset the balance. - SANDALWOOD PACK:

With this face pack, you should be able to lighten the dark patches on your skin as well as handle any blemishes on your face, such as pimples, blisters, etc. All you need to do is to take a teaspoon of fine sandalwood powder with half a teaspoon of rose water and mix in half teaspoon of turmeric powder as well. Mix it gently but mix it well so that no lumps are formed. Now wash your face, pat it dry and apply the paste to your face and let it sit for half an hour. After half an hour, you can wash it away with cold water, leaving your face fresh and clean.
- OATMEAL PACK:

What makes this pack effective is that it is quite effective when it comes to removing the dead skin cells from your skin. Just follow the directions posted below and soon, you should have warm, glowing skin. You need to take three teaspoons of oatmeal powder, along with 1 egg white,1 tsp curd, and 1 tsp honey. Now, you need to take all the ingredients together, mix it to a smooth paste, without any lumps. Make sure that you clean your face thoroughly before you apply this paste. Apply it, and let it sit for 20 minutes or so until it becomes completely dry. Now, rinse it off with cold water and your face should be soft, supple and fresh.
- MINT & BANANA PACK:

As strange as this combination may sound, as a face pack, it is quite effective in keeping your skin soft, and supple. Just take a few mint leaves, and a half ripe banana; now mash the banana thoroughly, and crush the mint leaves and add it to the mix. Now, take a napkin soaked with warm water and let it cover your face for a few minutes. After which, apply this paste directly to your face and let it sit for 10 minutes. After which, you can wash off the mixture off your face and it should feel soft and supple, all over again.
- RICE FLOUR & ALMONDS PACK:

This face pack is quite simple, all you need is some rice flour and some crushed almonds (fine powder) and some curd. Take it in equal proportions and mix it together to a fine paste. Now, wash your face and apply this paste, just as you are about to head to bed. Let it sit for 15 minutes after which you can wipe it off, leaving your face looking great again.
- EGG WHITE PACK:

This is one of the simplest homemade packs to make; just take 1 egg white, along with 1 tsp honey. Mix it well and apply it to your face. Wait for the mixture to get dry and then wash it off – it should leave your face clear and looking beautiful.
- SUGAR & OLIVE OIL PACK:

This particular combination is quite effective in removing dead skin cells. Take some sugar and olive oil, mix it well and apply the paste to your face. Gently massage the mixture around to remove the dead skin, after which allow it to sit on your face for 20 minutes. After which, you can wash it off with cold water, leaving you looking fresh and great.
- JOJOBA OIL PACK:

This particular pack is quite effective, especially with dry skin. Take some Jojoba oil; add some fresh curd and honey to the mix; gently mix it so that no lumps form. Now apply this paste to your face and let it sit for 10 minutes; after that, you can wash it off with cold water, leaving you looking sparkling bright and great.
- TURMERIC PACK:

This is quite effective in dealing with Acne during the monsoon season. Just take some besan, add turmeric to it along with some water to make a fine paste. Now add this paste to your face and let it sit for 20 minutes. After that, you can remove it with cold water and your face should soon be free of all blemishes for the rest of the monsoon season.
- PEAS & PAPAYA PACK:

For this, all you need is some powdered peas, as well as curd, lemon juice and half a cup of papaya. Mix it all together and mash it to a fine paste. Now, apply the paste to your face and let it sit for 20 minutes or so and then wash it off with cold water. This should enable you to maintain that ‘all clear’ look for the rest of the monsoon period.
- FRUIT PUNCH PACK:

This pack consists of 2 slices of banana, 1 slice of apple, some honey, 1 slice of orange, 1 piece of peach, two pieces of strawberry, along with 2 pieces of raspberry. Mash all the fruits using a blender, and apply the paste to your face. Let it sit for half an hour after which you can wash it off. This should provide you with clean and refreshed skin.
These are some of the best homemade face packs that you need to try out for this monsoon period. The best part is that nearly all the ingredients used in the mask are easily available and you can realize their effects right away.
