Having long and lustrous hair is what everyone wants. But, due to pollution and bad eating habits of people in today’s world, one can see tremendous amounts of hair fall which is not natural. Also, stress and anxiety are other problems which lead to hair fall. Using good shampoos and conditioners are helpful at times, but using certain home remedies is best for hair. They are natural and do not have any side effects on them. Some of the remedies to stop hair fall naturally are listed as under:


Greek Yogurt is a good conditioner for your hair and it has amounts of Vitamin B5 and protein in them. It is beneficial for your hair and makes hair smooth and silky. The antibiotics present in yogurt also help in hair growth. First, take 2 teaspoons of Greek Yogurt and 1 teaspoon of honey and make it into a paste. Use a hair dye brush and apply it on the scalp and also on the roots. Keep it for about 1 hour and then wash it off with a mild natural shampoo. This pack can be used at least once a week.


Scalp infections occur mostly because of bacteria growing in your scalp which can be treated with onion juice because it contains antibacterial properties in it. The blood circulation improves and tiny hair follicles start appearing. Take 1 teaspoon of onion juice, 1 teaspoon of honey and rosewater. Make it into a paste and massage it gently onto your hair. Leave it for about 40 minutes and then wash it off with cold water. Onion juice can be applied once a week. It is effective and gives visible results within days.


Eggs are a great source of proteins, vitamins, and phosphorus and help in healthy growth of hair. Take 1 egg white and 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Beat both the ingredients to form into a fine paste. Apply it on hair and scalp. Keep it on for about 30 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water. This process can be repeated twice a week and it is really helpful.


Beetroot helps in getting shiny and healthy hair. It promotes hair growth because of the presence of Vitamin B and C and proteins. Take 4 to 5 beetroot leaves and 1 tablespoon of henna. Boil the beetroot leaves to balance it and get the solution from it. Add henna into the solution and form a fine paste with it. Apply it on all your hair and keep it for 20 minutes and then rinse it off. This process is very simple and can be tried on for about thrice a week. It makes your hair supple and soft and you would not even need a conditioner when you use this.


Neem (Azadirachta indica) helps prevent dandruff as it contains antibacterial properties in it. The scalp becomes healthy and promotes easy hair growth. The hair roots are strengthened as the blood circulation is improved with neem. Take 12 dry neem leaves and water. Boil the neem (Azadirachta indica) leaves and bring it to half the quantity. Take a spray and spray it on your hair. Leave this conditioner as a moisturizer and then wash it off. Neem (Azadirachta indica) spray can be used either before shampooing or even after shampooing. This can be done every week.


Coconut milk contains Vitamin E in it which helps to moisturize hair. The essential oils present in it are great for hair as it prevents hair breakage. Potassium and proteins strengthen hair from roots and hair fall are reduced greatly. Hair is protected from damage and hair does become straight and soft when you use coconut milk. Take 1 coconut and squeeze the milk out of it. Apply the milk with a brush. Cover your head with a towel to get the heat to absorb the milk. You should keep it on for 20 minutes and rinse it with cold water. The nutrients present in it are wonderful for hair.


Henna (Lawsonia Inermis) has been used from earlier times to color your hair. It gives a natural shine to your hair. Henna helps in strengthening hair follicles for new hair to grow. Take about 250 ml of mustard oil and add 5 dried henna (Lawsonia Inermis) leaves. Boil the mixture to burn the leaves. Take the oil and massage it onto your scalp. You can also take 1 cup of curd and mix the henna (Lawsonia Inermis) powder in it. And you will almost get the same results. Wash it with a mild shampoo. Repeat this process once a week for visible results.


Green tea helps in increasing the metabolism of your hair and helps in hair growth. The hair follicles help in the growth of hair at a steady pace. Take 2 green tea bags and 3 cups of hot water. Seep the tea bags in the water and bring in to a boil. After the green tea has been mixed in the water, apply this solution to your hair. Green tea can be used after shampooing to give the effect of the conditioner. Drinking green tea every day also works wonder for your hair.


Amla (Phyllanthus Emblica) is a rich constituent of Vitamin C which helps in strengthening of hair. The formation of collagen because Vitamin C helps in hair growth. The locks become strong and lustrous with the use of amla (Phyllanthus Emblica). Premature greying of hair is stopped with amlas (Phyllanthus Emblica). Take 4 amlas (Phyllanthus Emblica) and 1 teaspoon of coconut oil. Boil the amla (Phyllanthus Emblica) until it becomes black. Leave it for about 20 minutes and then rinse off with a shampoo. This method can be done twice a week. It is really good for your hair.


Chinese hibiscus is best for strong and beautiful hair. It has huge amounts of phosphorus and Vitamin C. It helps in elimination of toxins provides circulation of blood. Hibiscus helps in getting strong and healthy hair. It also helps in improving hair growth. Take 10 Chinese hibiscus flowers and 2 cups of coconut oil. Put both flowers and coconut oil together and boil. Apply the oil and wash your hair with a shampoo.
